Benni McCarthy is wondering what tricks Steve Komphela will have up his sleeve when his Cape Town City host Golden Arrows in a PSL clash at Cape Town Stadium on Sunday (3pm).
City have had a wobbly start to the campaign with only one win from their first five games and McCarthy is desperate for them to get back to winning ways.
Komphela’s eighth-placed Arrows are two points and two places ahead of City and McCarthy is well aware of his colleague’s wily tactics.
The Citizens mentor says: “Steve Komphela is a very tricky coach a seasoned campaigner. He’s experienced my senior.
“You have to respect what he has done with this Arrows team.”
City have thrown away winning positions in three of their matches and McCarthy says they just can’t keep making the same mistakes over and over.

Ahead of the clash, three points are imperative.
He says: “It’s about getting over the line now. This week we are trying to sustain because we’ve playing in patches. And the results haven’t been coming. Defensively we’ve lost focus and consistency. Hopefully we can put it all together.”
McCarthy had slammed his players after their 3-3 draw at SuperSport United last weekend and warned that “some players will never play again”.
However, when asked about changes to his team, he says: “We’ll see come Saturday and what they produce in training.
“Consistency is key. If you want to achieve anything in life, you have to work hard.”
