Arsenal said Friday midfielder Alex Iwobi has signed a
new "long-term contract" with the club.
The 22-year-old Nigeria international has been with Arsenal since he
was nine, in the youth academy, and has played 98 matches for the
senior side.
Arsenal did not reveal any details of the contract but media reports
said he is now tied to the club until 2023.
"I'm very pleased Alex has signed a new contract with us," manager
Unai Emery told the club's website.
"He is a great example of a player who can succeed from the Academy
through hard work and I look forward to working with him and our
other talented young players in the squad."
