Sharks openside flanker James Venter believes he made the best decision to return to Durban after a stint at the Lions.
The 23-year-old has impressed in the No.6 jumper for the Durbanites so far this season after joining the squad late last year.
And he is eager to prove his worth again when they face the Hurricanes in New Zealand on Saturday.
Under new coach Sean Everitt, the Sharks have employed a specialist scavenger in the No.6 jumper.
And Venter couldn’t be any happier, saying: “Being an openside flanker, that’s what you relish in the game, the breakdown and the physical aspect that comes with it.
“Getting turnovers is what moulds the openside position and this is the kind of game that I enjoy playing.
“So it’s been awesome getting out there and playing my natural game which complements what Sean wants.”
