The Stormers needed a quick-fix to their captaincy situation and prop Steven “Kitsie” Kitshoff proved to be the kitsoplossing.
With regular skipper Siya Kolisi being rested for their Super Rugby match against the Rebels in Melbourne on Friday, coach Robbie Fleck explains that Kitshoff was the natural choice to lead the side into battle as they look to end a horrible tour of Australasia on a high.
Fleck explains: “He [Kitshoff] has been part of the leadership group ever since he returned from France [at the end of the 2017 European season].
“He is a quiet leader, he is well respected and when he speaks, he speaks confidently.
“He has grown so much since France and he’s been keen on a leadership role and he delivers on and off the field in that regard.

“He was a natural choice - he is respected all-round.”
Kitshoff will lead a young Stormers pack as they look for their first win overseas in four outings, having lost to the Hurricanes, Blues and the Reds in previous encounters.
Coach Fleck, meanwhile, has made five changes - four of them up front - to his side for the clash.
