Springbok attack consultant Swys de Bruin has resigned from his position in the national team, with the Rugby World Cup in Japan just over a month away.
De Bruin cited personal health issues as his reason for the move, with the start of the Rugby World Cup on September 20 nearing.
It leaves Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus with a headache ahead of the quadrennial showpiece.
🗣 “Swys de Bruin made a great contribution to the squad in his time with us and I’d like to thank him on behalf of his fellow management and the players he has worked with in the past 12 months."

"He brought a fresh perspective to one facet of the game and he'll be hard to replace.”
