Super Rugby is looking to local derbies as they hope to get the competition going again after a coronavirus suspension.
With the travel between Sanzaar member nations Argentina, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand suspended, the schedule could be shuffled to decide conferences before winners compete in playoffs.

Rugby Australia boss Raelene Castle says: “The travel restrictions mean that cross-border competition doesn’t seem realistic so domestic obviously leads the conversation.
“We expect we’d be able to communicate on that in the coming days.”
