Jesse Kriel has warned his Bulls teammates to cut out the mistakes when they host the Stormers in Saturday’s 5.15 pm Super Rugby opener.
The Springbok centre points out that three of the Cape side's four tries in their 33-28 pre-season win on SuperHero Sunday was down to turnovers.
And Kriel urged them to minimise costly lapses in concentration.
He explains: “We spoke about not making those stupid mistakes, it was obviously just lapses of concentration.
“We spoke about just being focused and living in the moment, and not switching off because the Stormers obviously have world-class players.
“And I think if you switch off and give them that opportunity, that is when they capitalise and score those tries.”
The Cape-born 24-year-old also expects the Stormers to be stronger with more first-teamers in the team this time around.
He says: “It is definitely going to be a different challenge this weekend when they come to Loftus.”
