The Junior Boks will face Argentina U20s in Stellenbosch on Wednesday.
And coach Chean Roux believes it will be his team’s toughest assignment to date this year.
The Junior Boks beat a Namibia XV 50-8 in the International Series on Saturday and Roux says they are still finding their best combinations before tackling the rest of the world in Argentina in June.
The coach explains: “We are pleased that we have the opportunity to play three matches in the series, and with all respect to the other teams, I believe this one will be the toughest.
“We are busy building toward finding the best combinations, so we will continue experimenting in this game, and hopefully after this, we will be able to finalise the group going to the UK.”
Roux adds of their opposition: “Argentina are physical, and they are currently trying to play a new style of rugby that is very fast.
“They also have a talented backline and they try to spread the ball across the field, so our defence will have to be up to standard.”
The 4pm kickoff at Paul Roos Gymnasium is the Bokkies’ last before they go on a tour of the UK next week to finalise preparations for the World Cup.
