Pieter-Steph du Toit has become the poster boy for the Springboks this season.
His performances - whether in the No.4 jumper or in the No.7 jersey - are reminiscent of the days in 2016 when he was named SA Rugby Player of the Year.
Du Toit is certainly making a strong case for being the 2018 Bok of the year again.
But is it as a flank or a lock that coach Rassie Erasmus should ink in his name when he writes down his starting XV for Saturday’s Test against Scotland today?
Du Toit answers: “It doesn’t worry me, the coaches knows what I can do, and I know what is expected of me. So I’ll always try to fulfil my role, whatever is expected of me.”
But he adds: “I probably would say that I prefer playing at 7 at the moment though.
“It’s where I’m able to get my hands on the ball a bit more and get involved in the loose play
“I’m just enjoying my rugby and the coaches have put all the right structures in place, which has really helped.”
