The Blitzboks will be out to entertain their fans in the home leg of the Sevens Series at Cape Town Stadium this weekend.
And speedster Shakes Soyizwapi believes the only way they can do this is with a ball in hand.
He himself wants more time on the ball and says: “I want to get more involved and be around the ball more.
“That’s one area that I will work on to improve this week. Everyone will get to throw the ball around a bit more.”
Soyizwapi believes they have what it takes to turn around the disappointment of finishing sixth in Dubai last weekend.
Having lost to England in the quarterfinal, the Blitzboks also went down to Fiji in the fifth-place playoff.
And Soyizwapi adds: “Our performance in Dubai obviously was not what we stand for as a team. We will be looking at the positives though, as we are at home.
“The tournament itself is also brilliant, with a great atmosphere, and we are keen to deliver a good performance.”
