Royal AM will play in the PSL this season after the league approved the sale of Bloemfontein Celtic’s status.
The KZN club kick off their top-flight adventure on Sunday with an away trip to Swallows.
It ends a long and controversial saga for the club, having fought court battles with the PSL after the league had awarded Sekhukhune United the GladAfrica Championship title because of an outstanding disciplinary action after Royal AM ended top of the standings on the final day.
Club owner Shaun “Ma’Mkhize” Mkhize now finally gets her wish.
PSL CEO Mato Madlala said in statement yesterday: “The Executive Committee has approved the transfer of the business of two member clubs of the league.
“The result, for the coming season, is that the club previously known as Bloemfontein Celtic will participate in the DStv Premiership as Royal AM this season, with its home ground venue as Chatsworth Stadium.
Madlala also confirmed that Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila was resurrected in the NFD after acquiring Royal AM’s status.
