Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane says they are at their “physical limits” ahead of their Champions League quarterfinal second leg against Liverpool tonight at 9pm.
Zidane will be without centreback pairing, skipper Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane, after the former joined the Frenchman in Covid-19 quarantine ahead of the trip to Anfield.
They join Lucas Vazquez on the sidelines after the winger suffered a season-ending knee injury in last weekend’s El Clasico victory.
With fullback Dani Carvajal and Eden Hazard already injured, Zidane is also paaping over midfielders Toni Kroos and Fede Valverde, who both struggled in the clash with Barcelona.
Looking to protect a 3-1 advantage on Merseyside, Zidane says: “I don't know how we're going to finish the season.
“Physically, we're at our limit.”
