Cricket South Africa (CSA) yesterday confirmed that world champions England will indeed visit South Africa for three T20Is and three ODIs from 27 November to 9 December.
The tour will be limited to the Western Cape with two ODIs and two T20Is at Newlands, and an ODI and T20I at Boland Park. The detailed fixtures will be announced at a later stage.
CSA acting CEO Kugandrie Govender says: “While CSA, in partnership with government, has been working really hard to secure the series, we are thrilled that the tournament will reignite our international cricket
season and after the tough year South Africa and the world has experienced, we look forward to bringing cricket joy to our fans, players, and stakeholders.”
The matches will be played behind closed doors, with fans still not allowed at stadiums.
