England are out to show that they have some tricks in Tuesday night’s World Cup semifinal against Croatia at 8pm.

Three Lions star Dele Alli reminded the Croats, and especially superstar Luka Modric, of his skills after shibobo’ing the latter in a pre-season friendly in 2015.

Alli says: “I always enjoy a good nutmeg.”

If that is a statement that England is a more attacking side than in the past, Modric still feels the Poms are droog - scoring eight of their 11 goals from set pieces.

The Real Madrid man explains: “England are dangerous on set pieces.

“They have players like [Harry] Maguire, Harry Kane and [John] Stones, who are strong and they are scoring so much on set pieces.

“We are going to have to pay attention to those details because we conceded from one against Russia that we shouldn’t have allowed.”

Modric says he also has an embarrassing story to tell about England opposition, but he will save that for another time rather than giving them extra motivation.
