France midfielder Paul Pogba's older brother
Mathias has failed in a bid to to be taken on by third-division
German side Uerdingen, it was reported on Wednesday.
Centre forward Mathias Pogba, who last played for Sparta Rotterdam in
the Dutch league, was given a trial by Uerdingen this week but the
club has rejected him.
"For a number nine, Mathias has a good body and is tall but he has
too many kilos around his hips," Uerdingen coach Stefan Kraemer was
quoted as saying by Bild daily.
"Mathias could not have helped the team. He has already left."
While Paul Pogba is now a World Cup winner with France and about to
start a new season with Manchester United in the Premier League,
27-year-old Mathias is out of contract after a year in Rotterdam.
The Guinea international had previous spells at Wrexham, Crewe
Alexandra, Pescara, Crawley Town and Partick Thistle.
