Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says they will never give up in the Premier League title race.
Solskjaer’s manne fell seven points behind leaders Manchester City, who have a game in hand, after a disappointing 1-1 draw with West Brom Sunday.
But the Norwegian has vowed to “put up a fight” in the remaining 14 games of the season as they hunt a first league crown since Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.
He says: “Let’s just build momentum and win games.
“They [City] are in good form. Us and Leicester have to put up a fight.
“I said we shouldn’t be talked about [in the title race]. A compliment for the boys we got into the position we are now.
“We won’t let them [City] run away with it – we’re playing them soon. We’re not giving it away early – no we’re not”
United were on the back foot after just 83 seconds when Mbaye Diagne headed home and they needed a stunning Bruno Fernandes volley to draw level.
Captain Harry Maguire pushed for the win, winning a penalty before it was overturned by VAR and then hit the woodwork with a header.
But the defender was still disappointed that his manne couldn’t bag a win.
He says: “Yeah, we created a lot of chances, enough to win the game.
“We made it difficult for ourselves conceding the goal.
“Obviously, at the end, it hits the post and it’s a great save by Sam [Johnstone] to be fair.
“It’s disappointing to come away with a point, we felt we deserved more.
“We dominated the game in their half, we created chances, they put in blocks, cleared off the line.
“We can do more, we can do more for sure, we can improve but it’s disappointing”.
