Former Stormers prop Wilco Louw is still stuck in Cape Town, despite his new team Harlequins restarting their Premiership campaign against Sale Sharks tomorrow night.
Louw and fellow Springbok Andre Esterhuizen have both signed for Quins and were expected to make their debuts in this encounter.
But visa issues because of the coronavirus lockdown have delayed their departures, with Quins expecting the pair in the UK this weekend.
Quins coach Paul Gustard explains: “The ability to get in and get the necessary paperwork done, with the amount of places shut down, has taken us a lot longer than we anticipated.
“But we’ve got numbers, and it will be a nice boost when these players arrive and give us a lift.”
Former Lions wing Tyrone Green is the other South African player to have signed for Quins recently.
