Tottenham coach Jose Mourinho kicked off his season in style, gooing a vloermoer on day one after losing 1-0 to Everton at home on Sunday.
Dikbek after the match, Mourinho says he doesn’t like his luigat team and also blames officials for not pointing to the correct spot from which Everton took the free-kick that led to Dominic Calvert-Lewin powering home a bullet header.
After the defeat at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a suurgat Special One said: “I didn’t like my team.
“I didn’t like that so many referees on the pitch, on the touchline and in front of the screen to allow a free-kick to be taken five or six metres in front which created a totally different angle of cross and totally different angle to a cross to attack the ball and put the defensive zone line.
“I can complain now as I was complaining before the goal. I was complaining already with the referees before the goal.
“I didn’t like my team. Lazy pressure up front. It disappoints me and that is where I now have to work.”
While Mourinho was bitterbek, Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti was smiling all the time – confident that his team can now run with the big dogs after handing Allan, James Rodriguez and Abdoulaye Doucoure debuts in a starting midfield trio.
The Italian says: “It was not easy but the new players brought energy and quality. The problem we had last season was we were up and down, in a lot of performances.
“We have to try to have more continuity and we will see in the next game.
“But this game told us we can compete with everyone.”
