The Hurricanes are not playing games anymore and have come out to confirm that fullback Jordie Barrett will miss Sunday’s clash against the Blues.
While seeing Jordie and his brother Beauden square off was definitely one of the big drawcards for the clash, fans are still expected to flock to Eden Park to be part of a global first in terms of fans being back at games after the coronavirus lockdown.
Barrett wasn’t the only All Blacks player ruled out of the first weekend of action.
The Chiefs, who will travel to the Highlanders for the first match on Saturday, will have to do so without Kiwi prop Atu Moli.
Moli will undergo surgery on both of his hips and will miss the rest of the season.
