The Cape’s struggling PSL sides will get no blaaskansie tomorrow when they face the league’s top two.
Cape Town City, down in 10th place, travel to second-placed Kaizer Chiefs for a 6pm test, while fourth-placed Stellenbosch host runaway league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns at 8.15pm.
Eric Tinkler’s Citizens are winless in their last three games and have picked up the habit of leaking soft goals.
And against an Amakhosi side boasting an in-form attack of Keagan Dolly, Bernard Parker and Khama Billiat, Tinkler has hinted that be may change City’s unusual brand od attacking football to boost their chances of an upset victory.
He says: “We need to go to chiefs organised structurally
“We were disappointed by the goals we’ve been conceding, so that’s an area we need to improve one.
“We have to play with no fear and have belief in ourselves.
“We are a team who like to play attractive attacking football, so we want to continue doing that.
“But sometimes we have to play ugly to get maximum points and I think that’s going to be the lesson for the players this week.”
Meanwhile, Stellies “But sometimes we have to play ugly to get maximum points and I think that’s going to be the lesson for the players this week.”
