Ex-Bulls coach John Mitchell is just what England rugby needed to return to the top according to former centre Jeremy Guscott.
Having played under Mitchell when the Kiwi was roped in by England as forwards coach back in 1997, Guscott has a lot of respect for the New Zealander.
And he believes Mitchell has what it takes to up the skill level of the players in England.
Guscott writes in a column for The Rugby Paper: “The game is very simple to them [the players in England] and having a Kiwi coach will certainly up the skill levels of the players.
“I remember him going through drills of rucking, body positions, technique - he was very up on that and wanted the players to be the best so it was drill after drill after drill.”
