Bafana Bafana can take control of their 2019 Afcon qualifying Group E with a win over leaders Libya at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday (3pm).
Victory will lift South Africa to six points and three clear at the top of the pool.
But for Stuart Baxter’s manne to bust their group wide open, they need some game breakers.
And with the coach pinpointing setpieces as the opponents’ weakness and a lack of defensive organisation, Bafana will stick to their strengths.
Here we look at the manne who can make the difference.
Vincent Pule
The Orlando Pirates ace has impressed Baxter since a number of injuries hit Bafana’s preparations.
The attacking ace has shone for Bucs this season, especially in the final third of the pitch were he can create space and chances for his teammates with his accurate passing.
With Bafana’s possession-based style, he could be a key man.
And the fact that he scored twice in a practice match against AmaZulu this week, the 26-year-old could be set for a stellar debut.
Aubrey Modiba
Another late call-up, versatile Modiba could be a key player for Bafana’s play down the right flank.
The 23-year-old is full of energy and goes up and down the pitch in no time and all day.
If he can get his positional discipline right, he could get a start ahead of Sifiso Hlanti at rightback or higher up the pitch if Baxter is in a more adventurous mood or looking to pin back the Libyans.
His accurate crosses can also provide Bafana’s forwards and late runners with the ammunition to score crucial goals.
Kamohelo Mokotjo
Midfield ace Kamo has had a solid start to the season with his English Championship side Brentford.
With the Bees buzzing in fifth place, the former Feyenoord anchorman has been instrumental to his side’s progression to the main draw of the League Cup too.
Mokotjo will be ready to up the pace of his team’s game from the centre of the park with his ability to read the game.
And his range of passing can spread the game out wide or pick out the run of a front man.
