Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta may be forced to give two new signings their Premier League debut tomorrow at Fulham as injuries in his defence keep piling up.
Ahead of the start of the new campaign, the Gunners have been growing increasingly worried about a neck injury to centreback David Luiz.
With Luiz the latest casualty on a list that includes Shkodran Mustafi, Pablo Mari, Calum Chambers, with Sokratis expected to leave the club soon, Arteta will have to turn to fresh faces.
That means teenager William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes could start alongside Rob Holding in Arteta’s preferred three-man defence.
Saliba made his debut in a 4-1 friendly win over MK Dons last week, while Gabriel is yet to make his bow for the club.
While it could be their first taste of league action in England, the same could be said about their opponents tomorrow, newly-promoted Fulham.
