Former Stormers midfielder Juan de Jongh is rumoured to be on his way back to the Mother City.
Currently playing for Wasps in England, Netwerk24 reported over the weekend that the 33-year-old is in advanced talks with Western Province about returning on a two-year deal.
De Jongh made 97 appearances for the Stormers between 2010 and 2017 before moving to the UK.
Having only played three matches for Wasps since the start of 2021, it is also believed that Jake White’s Bulls were interested in securing the signature of the 19-cap Springbok.
The addition of De Jongh will give John Dobson’s Stormers some much needed experience in the midfield, with Rikus Pretorius, Ruhan Nel and Dan du Plessis currently the senior manne on their books in this department.
