Dale Steyn gave a T20 fast-bowling masterclass at Newlands on Sunday, as Cape Town Blitz beat Tshwane Spartans by 15 runs.
With the visitors set a winning target of 158 in 20 overs, Steyn and teammate Wahab Riaz had them on the back foot from the word go.
Riaz was the first to strike when he clean bowled Spartans opener Theunis de Bruyn for five.
Smelling blood, Steyn then struck twice in his second over to remove Dean Elgar (5) and Wiaan Mulder (5) to make it 16/3.
As soon as Heinrich Klaasen departed, AB de Villiers and Pite van Biljon brought their team back into the game.
But Steyn (3/10) again entered the fray to remove his ex-Proteas pal, caught and bowled for 31.

Needing more than two runs per ball, Van Biljon continued to fight until the end.
His knock of 62, however, was not enough as Spartans fell 15 runs short of Blitz’s 157/5, finishing on 142/7.
