The Cape Cobras are headed for their first draw of the 4-Day competition this season as they and the Knights head into Monday’s final day.

After a high-scoring first innings by both teams, the Knights will resume their second innings at the Manguang Oval on 135/1.

Former Cobras batsman Keegan Petersen was the hero of the hosts’ first knock with his 161 being over half of the team’s total of 316.

Ashwell Prince’s manne then piled on 470 runs in reply.

Cobras No.4 Daniel Bedingham amassed 112, but his captain Dane Piedt outshone him down at No.7 with a 114 off 145 balls.

Kyle Verreynne (89) and Mthiwekhaya Nabe (68) also weighed in with half-tons.
