Cape Town Blitz will know their Mzansi Super League fate by the end of this weekend.
Coach Ashwell Prince’s team currently have a four-point lead over second-placed NMB Giants on the log, with Jozi Stars a further point behind the Capetonians but with a game in hand.
And heading into tonight’s clash with a Paarl Rocks chasing a top-three finish, Blitz know they have their destiny in their own hands.
A win in the Cape derby, coupled with a win over Durban Heat on Sunday will see the Capetonians return to Newlands for the final of the showpiece.
Prince explains: “If we win our games, we will end on top. But, of course, you look at the other results.
“If the teams that are chasing don’t win their matches, it makes things a little easier for us. But if they do win their matches then we have to go out and do our business.”
Up against them at 7 pm on Saturday night, they will be met by a desperate Paarl outfit.
Still, in with an outside chance of overtaking the Stars and the Giants, Rocks will have to go all-out for bonus points wins in their three remaining matches.
