Cape Town City skipper Thami Mkhize has told his manne to regroup and get ready for their final four games of the season.
This after they suffered a suffered a second straight PSL defeat on Saturday, following up Wednesday’s 5-1 loss to former boss Benni McCarthy’s AmaZulu with Saturday’s 1-0 setback at TS Galaxy.
Mxolisi Machupu’s 65th-minute goal from a cross from ex-City fullback Ebrahim Seedat decided the game, leaving Jan Olde Riekerink’s team looking over their shoulders as eighth-placed Galaxy closed the gap to four points with a game in hand.
Mkhize says: “We as players are all disappointed with the results of the last two games.
“We knew it would be tough because of the long travel and they are a team who fights hard and are also pushing to stay in the top 8.
“We have some time before our next game we have to make sure we put in the work at training this coming week to do better against Bloemfontein Celtic [next Wednesday].”
