Chiefs coach Warren Gatland is not enjoying his New Zealand homecoming after returning from Wales earlier this year.
Gatland, who coached the Dragons successfully for a number of years, is not having the same success Down Under in the Waikato region.
In fact, he is yet to win a match in this year’s Super Rugby Aotearoa.
In the first week, it was his son, Bryn, who kicked a winning drop goal for the Highlanders to sink his dad’s team.
The next week, they went down to the Blues and on Sunday, the Crusaders klapped them 18-13.
But Gatland wasn’t happy with the refereeing in that match and says: “We were furious because we just felt the breakdown before it [Will Jordan’s first half try]... we felt [Jack] Goodhue should have been penalised.
“I just thought it was a certain penalty to us, I thought Goodhue made a tackle, and he’s ended up rolling into our side and slowed the ball down.”
