Elton Jantjies will not get a chance to play against fellow Handre Pollard in Friday’s trans-Jukskei derby at Ellis Park (3.05pm).
Instead, it will be youngster Manie Libbok who will wear the No.10 jersey for the Bulls after Pollard was ruled out of the encounter with a back injury.
Libbok is one half of a new halfback combination, with Springbok Ivan van Zyl taking the No.9 from fellow international Embrose Papier.
Coach John Mitchell has named a very inexperienced bench for the encounter, with his team being led by lock RG Snyman.
Still, the coach is demanding an superb performance from his players.
Mitchell says: “I asked the team for an extraordinary performance to close the season out.
“The other option is to just settle for an easy way to end the season, but that is not who we are as a team.”
