Cape Town City boss Jan Olde Riekerink slammed his team for failing to take advantage of 10-man Swallows.
After coming back from a goal down against the Birds on Sunday, City levelled against 11 men but they missed out on the killer blow once Junaid Sait was sent off with 25 minutes to play.
After Mdu Mdantsane had cancelled out the Birds’ opener with a 32nd-minute penalty, City came close to a second goal just two minutes later, but wasted two chances in a four-on-one situation.
And the boss says: “I thought we played outstanding football fo the last 25 minutes of the first half. Especially in the transition moment when we had them at four against one - that should have been a goal.
“That’s the only thing I can teach my team.
“We played against 10 men and you get the biggest benefit when you put pressure on them, but we let them get away.”
