Cape Town City need to psych themselves up for Orlando Pirates way better than they did against Kaizer Chiefs.
On Saturday, the Citizens only woke up after their opponents had scored, but never really found their rhythm and killer instinct in the 4-1 defeat.
And coach Benni McCarthy’s manne will have to be at their best from the very first whistle against Bucs to improve their PSL record of one win in six tomorrow night at Orlando Stadium (7pm).
The biggest preoccupation this squad has at the moment is the MTN8 final next Saturday, but their recent league form is suffering.
Ahead of this weekend, skipper Thami Mkhize says: “We want to make sure that we keep on doing well and prepare ourselves for the MTN8 final.
“So yeah, we wanna play them now because after that we play Pirates it’s a good preparation for the final.”
McCarthy has to ruk his manne reg and get them focused on the task at hand here or all momentum and belief will be lost by the time they face SuperSport United on September 29 in Durban.
And the City boss says: “We have to move on and learn from our mistakes.
“It’s Pirates away from home and I will be looking for a response from the team.”
