Bafana Bafana came from behind to cruise into the final of the Cosafa Cup last night with a 5-1 win over Swaziland.

Shakes Mashaba’s U23s roared back from going 1-0 down late in the first half to put the Swazis to the sword after Siyabonga Mdluli was sent off in the 51st minute.

This side will be going to the Olympics in August to face Neymar’s Brazil in Group A and they gave nothing to be hopeful about in the first half, as they wasted chances to go ahead.

And they were punished for their wastefulness.

But once Mdluli was show a straight red soon after the break, the floodgates opened immediately as the U23s ran riot and scored goals for fun.

Orlando Pirates new boy Thabiso Kutumela cancelled out the lead a minute after they got a man advantage, as he replcated the form that saw him fire Baroka FC to the PSL with his goals.

Denmark-based Lebogang Phiri gave Bafana the lead five minutes later.

Then Menzi Masuku got the first of his two goals of the night on the hour mark as he and Judas Moseamedi completed the rout.
