The Springbok Sevens team have a chance of taking the World Series, with a leg in London remaining, if they can win the tournament in Paris.

Sitting on 157 points over eight legs, their nearest challengers, Olympic Gold Medallists Fiji, are 25 points back with 132 points.

If the BlitzBoks pick up 20 points it will make it impossible for them to be chased down with two legs remaining.

With a series victory counting 22 points the Blitzboks can win two titles come Sunday.

The team though are under no illusions that it’s going to be tough.

Tim Agaba says: “We are very mindful of our own processes and systems and what the job at hand is. There is no sense in getting ahead of ourselves.

“We will be focusing on what we need to do, game for game and tournament after tournament. We are treating all tournaments the same, getting backs to the basics every time and start from there. The results then tend to look after themselves.”
