The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is the latest to issue a statement on the changes to their international calendar.

The changes were made to accommodate the qualifying matches for the 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar and the 2023 Asian Cup set to be hosted in China.

It’s the second time that the AFC have had to reschedule the qualifiers between March and June 2020, but were rescheduled to October and November 2020.

Their members include Australia as well as powerhouses South Korea and Japan.
