The PSL has dropped the cases against Mamelodi Sundowns and Bloemfontein Celtic.
Sundowns and player Wayne Arendse were fined by the PSL for fielding a player that was not on the match day teamsheet.
The very same PSL then appealed the decision looking for a more severe punishment that might have seen Sundowns docked points which could’ve led to them not winning the league title.
Meanwhile, Celtic were in hot water after their match against Cape Town City was called off due to crowd unruliness.
It is unclear what the punishment was going to be, as at times clubs were just fined or forced to play behind closed doors.
PSL Chairman Irvin Khoza has said that “it’s not necessary to go ahead with the arbitration” and the PSL Board of Governors will look into the matter and hopefully clear out “grey areas” in the rules.
