Kuilsriver is going to take some stopping in their pursuit of a return to Super League A.
Lock Ivor van der Merwe and his teammates were unstoppable in their home match against Helderberg this past weekend.
And with a trip to Collegians coming up on Saturday, Kuila are a shoo-in to strengthen their position on the log.
Coach Gerhard Matroos and the rest of his backroom staff have done a good job this season, recruiting wisely as they push for promotion.
With 35-year-old ex-Stormers flyhalf Earl Rose running the show at No.10, Kuila ran riot against Helderberg, winning that match 48-12.
But if Kuila were impressive in Super League B this past weekend, log leaders Franschhoek were even warmer.
They put up a half-century against Macassar, winning that match 57-20 to stretch their lead at the top of the standings to five points.
Franschhoek, though, have played two more games than Kuilsrivier.
There was another 50 in the league, with Vineyards beating Rangers 50-18.
That match was not a good sign for Helderberg, who will cross swords with Vineyards on Saturday.
The match of the weekend, though, will take place at St George’s where Bellville will look to continue their march up the table.
Fresh off a tough 31-27 victory over Belhar, Bellville are in third place on the log with six wins from seven outings.
St George’s, meanwhile, had a bye last weekend and will be refreshed and ready to make life as difficult as possible for their visitors.
