It wasn't perfect, but the Boks’ Barbarians beat Argentina 24-18 at Loftus on Saturday.
Here we take a look at how the World Cup hopefuls in the team rated.
15 Warrick Gelant (6)
The Boks have some concerns at fullback heading into the World Cup with no one in form at the moment. Gelant didn’t ease those fears.
14 Sbu Nkosi (8)
If it weren’t for his two tries, the Springboks would have lost. Sure to be on the trip to Japan.
13 Jesse Kriel (7)
Did well to organise the Bok defence and had a solid outing. Nothing flashy.
12 Andre Esterhuizen (6)
Had some big carries and made some good hits.
11 Dillyn Leyds (6)
Worryingly, the second Bok left wing in a row that didn’t see much of the ball.
10 Elton Jantjies (7)
His goal-kicking was spot-on and and got better as the game progressed.
9 Cobus Reinach (5.5)
Threw a wild pass that got intercepted for the Argies’ first try and didn’t really take his opportunity behind the base of the scrum.
8 Marcell Coetzee (6)
Left the field after 16 minutes because of concussion as Kwagga Smith played the rest of the match.
7 Rynhardt Elstadt (7)
Worked hard throughout the game.
6 Siya Kolisi (7)
The Bok skipper was asked to empty his tank and he did so, staying on the pitch for 53 minutes.
5 Lood de Jager (6.5)
Another one of the Boks that worked hard during his time on the pitch, De Jager did enough to prove his fitness.
4 RG Snyman (6)
Not his best outing, but did enough to prove that he should be on the plane to Japan.
3 Vincent Koch (7)
Coach Rassie Erasmus and his selectors will do themselves a favour to select this man in their squad after a busy day at Loftus.
2 Schalk Brits (7)
Captain on the day, Brits did the basics well and proved that even without a lot of game time recently, he is old but not yet cold.
1 Thomas du Toit (6)
Not the best of outings. Will be interesting to see if he makes the final cut for Japan.
