Cape Town City returned to winning ways with a 4-2 PSL win over Bloem Celtic on Sunday, but coach Jan Olde Riekerink demanded his side to killed games off sooner.
City looked headed into half time with 2-0 lead after Mdu Mdantsane and Fagrie Lakay’s first-half goals, but Celtic hit back through Ndumiso Mabena on 41 minutes, but still enjoy the break with a two-goal cushion thanks to Thabo Nodada’s rocket just before the interval.
The drama wasn’t over though, as Celtic rallied through Menzi Masuku before Nodada sealed the points.
But the boss reckons his manne should have been more clinical, saying: “The first half we used the spaces well to make it 3-1.
“But in the second half we should have killed the game a little bit more. We lost the ball too easily and invited pressure.”
