It was a long wait and I certainly hope that it’s all worth the trouble once the PSL restarts.

With very little time to get the players back to peak physical conditions, games will be droog like n bek vol sand.
Players fitness is the only consideration that the clubs can have now.

What needs to happen for however long they have is to get the players physically fit.
Already we’ve seen in the Premier League, Bundesliga and La Liga that players are more prone to injury after such a long period of sitting at home.
With so much time spent on bodies, there is going to be less time to prepare tactically for the final six games of the season.
Less time spent on tactics means this might be an exercise in futility. A moeg player can’t think and doesn’t want the ball. And that means other are going to try too hard.
Just watch, with teams play lacking any fluency and penetration, we are going to see some heroes try to take this game by the scruff of the neck.
It’s going to be heartbreaking to watch any “midtable” teams.
Luckily for our manne, Cape Town City and Stellenbosch, there will be no time to sit on their hande- with relegation staring them in the face, they have to wikkel.
Hopefully they realise that with six games left in the season, they just don’t have the cushion to ease into it.
