Last week I wrote about the continued burning of our trains and I asked mense who know the perpetrators to piemp them without fail.
I still believe that it’s impossible that nobody knows who these criminals are who are destroying our infrastructure and making our daily lives so miserable.
It’s time that we stop putting all the blame on Metrorail and start doing what we can to help.
I have exactly the same feelings about what has now become a stolen car dump yard in Philippi.
The cops now find stripped and burned out cars in the Siyayanzela informal settlement on Brown’s Farm on a regular basis.
Police have already found 10 stolen and dumped cars in the area since May.
One of the vehicles - a Toyota Tazz - was taken from Woodstock SAPS and stripped before it had even been reported stolen.
Now I refuse to believe that anyone can strip a car so quietly that neighbours can’t hear, or wonder why the same people are stripping a different car every week.
And then setting some of it alight in a ditch.
It is the most obvious of suspicious behaviours.
Again, if we are going to build the society we all wish to live in, then we are going to need to start piemping these criminals.
