Bobby Nitro has noticed that when the power goes down the tempers tend to flare up. Load shedding is a reality, and the sooner we accept it, also on the roads, the safer it will be for all.
Yes, a person can get gatvol with his fellow driver and the government for the situation, but, come on, we’re all in it so we might as well behave like nice mense instead of irritated narcissists.
For starters, when ou get to an intersection usually governed by a robot, it’s now obvious that it should be treated like a four-way stop. But many drivers don’t do this and go when they are not supposed to. Rather stay calm, stay patient, and proceed safely.
Then there’s the lone traffic cop trying valiantly to make it easier for all. Show patience and appreciate what he’s doing rather than sitting there simmering. Becoming irate on the roads means you will drive less carefully and be more likely to get in a fender bender, or worse. It’s simply not worth it.
Seems like staying calm is at the centre of this, so get some good tunes going, leave with a little extra time to spare, and don’t be k@k.
