Bobby Nitro found himself thinking about ways that he could, personally, make the roads a safer place to be this festive season. When it comes to making a change, and you think that ‘oh, well, I’m just one person, what can I really do?’, it can be disheartening.
Until you reflect that big changes happen only when individuals do their bit, each one influences the other, and a groundswell develops, and you add it all together and you have a movement for social change. So, yes, the change can and does begin with me.
First off, Bobby is going to encourage his kids and their friends to club together and use Uber or public transport. Then, he is going to plan his holiday trip outside of the rush.
Secondly, he is educating the small kids about pedestrian safety. Just the other day Bobby was telling his laaitie about safe spaces to step out into the road, and what to watch out for. Yes, she did tell him that she wasn’t still a little kid and she had heard it all before, but he informed her that it was his responsibility to do so, even if he had to repeat himself over and over.
Last, but definitely not least, Bobby will keep reminding his readers that there is no reason for tragedy on the roads, as long as we all do our bit. The change begins with you.
