I’ve become quite the collector of cookbooks lately.
I’m no maestro in the kitchen and I don’t have the talents of most aunties on the Cape Flats where I can meet met die oog en proe met die neus, but with one of my trusted cookbooks, I have the confidence to prepare any feast like a pro.
My latest, and undoubtedly my favourite cookbook added to my collection has got to be the newly released Foodies of SA Top 100 Most Delicious, Most Shared Recipes Ever.
If you, like me, do most of your home cooking from Facebook then you would have come across a Foodies of SA recipe on your timeline.
The short video usually features an easy recipe to make, anything from weekday meals and sweet treats to healthy snacks.
The founders of this uniquely South African cooking page have taken 100 of their recipes, which received the most engagements and combined them into a book.
What I love most about the recipes in this book is how easy they are.
I’ve already made two recipes from the book and I surprised myself with the kwaai results.

But this is the aim of Foodies, to help their readers and fans find their inner chef.
Even if, like me, you don’t see yourself as the best cook, this book will change that.
