Q
Good day Auntie Pearl, I am self-conscious of my small breasts! Or should I say saggy breasts.
My bra is too big, in fact I don’t even have to wear a bra.
When I lie down everything is flat.
This all happened when I had my son – I lost a lot of weight and my breasts sagged as well.
What can I do to increase my breast size naturally with home remedies?
Ek is baie skaam hieroor. Ek wil ook lekker lyk!
Please help, I want to increase my size without operations or implants en sulke dinge.
Thanks, from Princess.
A
Ai Princess, this is a very common postpartum problem, and Auntie wants to salute you for not wanting to get plastic surgery.
You know, these days mense are mos all about loving the body that you are in, so you should not feel ashamed or shy about your natural looks.
Still, Auntie understands that for each one it’s a personal journey and that you want to look lekker for yourself.
As long as you don’t want to change your body because of what others might think, you are all good in Auntie’s books.
What happens during pregnancy and breastfeeding is that hormones cause breast tissue to expand, and this means the surrounding skin stretches. When you are done breastfeeding, the tissue shrinks, but the skin is no longer as elastic and that is what causes your breasts to be pap.
Unfortunately, Princess, breast tissue is made up of fat, so the only way to really get your boobs fully back to their perky self is with plastic surgery.
The only thing you can do at home is to do some exercises to strengthen the muscles around the breasts, and this might get you some lift back.
Before we get to the exercises, let Auntie just tell you that breast-firming pills and creams do not work.
There is simply no evidence that they plump up the breasts or restore elasticity.
The creams might make the skin’s appearance look better after a while, but you won’t get that perk back.
Of course, the quickest fix is a boob-lifting bra.
Just make sure you find the right fit – suck up the shyness and ask the lingerie sales staff to help you.
Now for the exercise.
You might wonder how this can work since breast tissue is fat, not muscle.
The answer lies in toning the pectoral muscles around the breasts, which could get some lifted and perkier boobs!
Wall presses:
Stand in front of a wall and place your palms against it at chest height.
- Move forward until your head nearly touches the wall.
- Return to the original position.
- Repeat 10 to 15 times.
Arm circles:
- Extend your arms out to the side at shoulder level.
- Slowly make small circles backwards for one minute. Now make small circles forwards for one minute.
- Repeat one or two times with a break in between.
Prayer pose:
- Hold your hands in front of your chest like you are praying, and press them together for 10 seconds.
- Relax, slowly straighten your arms (hand still together), and once extended, press your palms together for 30 seconds.
- Repeat this 15 times.
Horizontal chest press:
- Hold your arms out to the side, and bend them at a 90-degree angle (hands up).
- Close your arms and then open as wide as they will go.
- Do this for one minute.
Modified push-ups:
- Go into a push-up position, but lower your knees to the ground (it’s easier).
- Now do push-ups, but when you come up, keep a slight bend in your elbows.
- Slowly lower your body back down using controlled resistance.
- Do three sets of 10.
