Q
Dear Auntie Pearl, I have been reading your advice on the Daily Voice website for years now. I live in Durban so I can’t get the paper.
I know you are finally getting some rain in the Cape, but you mos know that here in Durbs it’s almost always lekker warm.
That’s why my problem is not just one for summer.
You see, Auntie, I like to go for a swim early in the mornings, and when I get back home I feel very refreshed. And when I feel so refreshed, I like to chill out in the nude before getting ready for the day.
I’m not walking around in the street, just in my backyard on the stoep. However, I’m sure I’ve seen the neighbours checking me out.
Do I go over there and confront them about peeping, or let them enjoy the view?
From Commando Carl
A
Carl, good for you for being so comfortable in your body.
As long as you are not slinging your slang all over the place, but keeping your kaalgat maniere in the privacy of your own yard, there’s nothing wrong with strutting about in your birthday suit.
So Auntie is going to say you just let them stare.
That is, of course, if it doesn’t bother you, but from the way you phrased your question, it doesn’t sound to Auntie like you give a hoot about giving them a show.
Maybe knowing you have an audience can even be motivation to stay in shape.
Even better, maybe it inspires them to also work on their fitness.
