There is a tendency on motoring pages to bring you the best and most beautiful creations. We’re not about to do that.

In fact, here’s the first two of what could reliably be considered the ugliest cars ever made, just to be different.

The Marcos Mantis, disadvantaged at the outset by name, adds insult to injury with a nose that would make Pinocchio blush.

Made by the British manufacturer in 1968, it didn’t last long.

Then we have the brilliantly named Brubaker... wait for it... Box. That’s right, the Box, a name that’s as ugly as the car. Although it does look like something that would be useful in the event of a zombie apocalypse, failing that, it is seriously lacking any character. Bobby Nitro was horrified to learn that reproduction kits came available. There is no accounting for taste.
