The mother of murdered six-month-old baby Zahnia Woodward has lashed out at her child’s alleged killers, telling them to stop lying.
Cindy Woodward took to Facebook yesterday where she slammed the accused for trying to “justify” her child’s death.
“...they’re playing blame games; calling people Funkys. Regardless of wie ’n Funky is en wie nie, my 6 maande oue baby girl het niks van dit verdien nie. Try om a moord te justify met k** stories,” she posted.
This after accused one, Christopher ‘Trompie’ September claimed on the witness stand that Zahnia’s father Bradley Robyn, who was injured in the shooting, was a member of the Junky Funkies gang.
However, Bradley stood up in court inviting the judge to inspect his body for any gang tattoos.
September himself had the letters JFK tattooed on his arm, but insisted he was not a skollie.
KILLED: Baby Zahnia
September, Larry Johnson, Tashwill Kriel, Morné May and Mirriam Johnson face charges of murder, attempted murder and obstruction of justice.
On Thursday, the court listened to voice notes on September’s phone, allegedly from Larry, in which he instructs September to take his purple VW Golf and drive it to Grassy Park.
ON WITNESS STAND: Christopher September
“He wanted me to take it to Joy. People were pinning the shooting on me because of the white Golf, so he said if I took the purple one to Joy, his girlfriend, and then take her white VW Golf, which is similar to the one used in the shooting, except it has four mags, then people would not be able to link me to the shooting because they would find nothing in the car,” September testified.
