A convoy of larney vehicles, escorted by SAPS and Public Order Police (Pops), descended on Ocean View on Tuesday where Judge Robert Henney did an inspection in loco at the scene where six-month-old Zahnia Woodward was shot and killed in December 2016.
Zahnia’s father, Bradley Robyn, testified in court that he was shot while sitting at the side of his house in Carnation Road.
He said the shooters were about three metres away and he saw them.
To gain clarity, the court went to the area and also visited spots in Ocean View, Masiphumelele and Sun Valley Mall.
Bradley and Zahnia’s mom, Cindy Woodward, were present, supported by hundreds of locals who followed the convoy in the area.

The accused - Christopher September, Larry Johnson, Taswill Kriel, Morné May and Miriam Johnson - all pleaded not guilty to Zahnia’s murder, and 11 attempted murder charges, as well as the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, and obstruction of justice.
The men were in chains, shuffling along with their police escort and the lawyers.
Bradley testified the shooters left the area through dense bushes, using an informal road to Kommetjie Road, adjacent to Carnation Road.
Judge Henney said he noted the path was big enough for a vehicle.
GATHER: Various people including cops and locals at scene
Here the State’s next witness, Bradley’s father Peter, showed the judge where he had run into the middle of Kommetjie Road, where he picked up a brick and hurled it at the windscreen of the getaway car, a white VW Golf.
He said a passenger was hanging out at the back window behind the driver, shooting at him.
Next, the convoy moved to Masiphumelele to a house where the white Golf was found.
The owner of the house is set to testify she had bought the car for R3 000 from Miriam Johnson but called the police when she found out the vehicle had been involved in a shooting.

The court’s photographer took pictures of the garage where the car was allegedly cleaned and its rims taken off by Miriam Johnson and Simoney Kindo.
Kindo is currently serving four years for obstruction of justice in this matter.
The delegation also visited the home of Johnson’s father, where the vehicle was allegedly also parked.
At Sun Valley Mall, CCTV footage showed the Golf leaving and turning towards the road to Chapman’s Peak and Hout Bay.
Here, Bradley showed Judge Henney that the same road connecting with Ou Kaapse Weg can also take you to Ocean View again, the argument being that Johnson claimed he was never in the area.
Video footage from a private residence in Carnation Road also showed the white Golf, although the occupants cannot be clearly seen.
The case continues.
