If your child has a passion for Kung Fu or simply wants to learn more about the sport, then this is for you.
Cape Kung Fu master Muhammad Junaid Chafeker aka M.J. Li is in search of the next group of youngsters he wants to take to Hong Kong, to represent South Africa at the World Kung Fu Champs in March 2019.
Junaid, 34, from Goodwood recently returned from a two-day scouting expedition in Caledon and Riviersonderend.
“We had intense training camps and trials with over 100 students.
“Once drafted into the squad, the athletes will undergo intense and rigorous training to see who makes the final cut.”
He adds: “I see this tour as a chance to find talent, motivate and inspire youth to make the right decisions and to possibly use Kung Fu to curb anti-social behaviour.”
on Friday he will be going to Al Azhar in Paarl and Dal Weide Primary in
Wellington.
On Sunday there will be a training camp and trials at the Green Point Urban Park at 10.30am.
